The air-conditioned halfway hut is a good respite before embarking on the Second Nine. The tee box offers a picturesque view that definitely requires taking the camera out. The new Penang Bridge in the horizon frames the other activities on the sea. The tee shot heads downhill to a large fairway that snakes its way to the green. Water hazards that flank the fairway can be intimidating for beginners. The only beach bunker on the course is strategically located before the green. Playing short of the bunker means dunking into the drink. Landing at the 150m mark where the fairway turns right is a good place to be for the approach shot to the green. The weak-hearted who do not want to attack the green can choose the narrow landing area on the right as a safer alternative. Three more bunkers guard the green to trap inaccurate shots. The sloping green tends to be slow even when putting downhill.
